Yahoo and Google have a deal

After all this time, I did not believe a deal with Google would come through, but I am relieved about it. Why? I am not a Yahoo fan. But a big portion of the US has used Yahoo for a lot of services and still does so.

Microsoft is not the best candidate for a takeover of Yahoo. MS is too busy pushing people and companies their way, and that is not what the internet is about these days. If you look closely at what MS has done over the past 20 years to get to the top, you know it’s better they don’t get to the top of the internet.

Google on the other hand is a likely candidate. I think the best reason lies in what they’ve done with Youtube: Buying a site that has become so popular on it’s own feet, at a time a huge legal problem could face Youtube, is smart. Google is more like the friendly giant, with money to spend and a good sense of reason.

I am glad it came to this - the vultures that were after the money they could make if MS would have bought the company did not win, at least not their way. They were ready to fire people in order to get what they wanted. Go and be ashamed.

Techcrunch has all the details of this almost historical deal.

Google’s anouncement is here. And not surprisingly, it is *only* about ad services. That’s where the money is….

Microsoft will send a free parasite

Although Microsoft claims to have said goodbye to takeovers, latest rumor around the Redmond mogul is a possible interest in Facebook. Oh my god. In order to prevent damage to my reputation and career, I hurried over to the facebook site to remove my account, but I guess I’m too late:

Yeah, sure.

As not much of what MS claims seems to be actually true (that also counts for the way MS has dealt with competition in the past), I am afraid this will be the new scenario:

  • Microsoft takes over Yahoo after all at a very competitive price
  • Microsoft takes over Facebook and LinkedIn and has someone else integrate the three (MS surely can’t do it, haha)
  • The whole is renamed to *livesomething

End result: Our reputations damaged, our names sold and everyone is pushed to use windows in an evil way.

The only thing missing is the MS designed parasite that will takeover our bodies, all in the name of health protection, a product of MS Health….

The only one who can save us is Google.

Microsoft and Yahoo’s shareholders show some sweet love

Where Yahoo (the company) doesn’t want to have anything to do with Microsoft (who blames ‘em), the shareholders come in. Why? For the money obviously. I kinda suspected this was going to happen.

Probably even the rumors about Steve Ballmer leaving are not true, damn. So now it is a matter of time before Yahoo mail gets littered with *live* mail, which is either broken or a security risk, and the Yahoo messenger will be slashed by the crap communicator MS has produced.

There can be only one winner here: Google. Mark my words.
