Android phones and a new iphone coming up
By servaas | June 3rd, 2008 | Category: Dutch Info Network, Tech Interest |A very exciting second half year is awaiting us with the upcoming 3g iphone (expected june 6, that’s in 4 days and one day before my birthday so I expect a free one, see), and also with the upcoming Android phones. Although I believe it is not yet confirmed what phone will be the actual first Android for consumer use, I can’t wait to see it and play if possible.
Meanwhile, unexpected news reached the internets yesterday: Palm, presumed almost dead, claims it’s market share has risen thanks to Centro. Unexpected but explainable: Palm setup a good $99 deal with sprint and in Europe over here a similar deal is available from vodafone and other providers. That’s called getting back in business - it might have cost Palm a buck or two, now they must be making money again and more importantly, regaining trust from customers.
Another interesting figure says that RIM, manufacturer of blackberry, has gained ground on the iPhone once more. Not surprisingly, as I still believe that iPhone and Blackberry are not exactly for the same markets and cannot really be compared. iPhone is very advanced, Blackberry is extremely stable and has been here for many years now.
While the soft summer rain falls, I leave you with your own thoughts on the phones to come.
