Golfers SkyCaddie has familiar look
By dutchclick | July 2nd, 2007 | Category: Dutch Info Network |
I have been reading about the new Skycaddie and its functions. Ofcourse I wanted to know more about it.
To my big surprise the biggest and most expensive versions (SG3 and SG4) look a lot like the Magellan eXplorist series.
It seems that SkyGolf made a deal with Magellan and did put own firmware in the device, which provides a graphic display of the courses:
enabling golfers to measure the full depth and shape of the green from any angle of approach and shows distances for all targets and hazards on any of SkyGolf’s professionally mapped courses.
Interesting thing about this all is that the SkyCaddie GPS devices have more accessories the the original eXplorist series have: other mounts, other cases and something I would like, a SG4 battery cover with belt clip.
